Hey Scotty, I have a 2019 honda civic lx cvt 2.0 liter with 39,700 miles. I want to clean the throttle body but I’m worried that I might touch the throttle plate by accident while cleaning. Do I need a scan tool for this job? Also, if I do touch the throttle plate, will I get check engine light and the vehicle won’t start? And if I do need a scan tool, what cheap scan tool would you recommend for idle relearn?

I have ... 39,700 miles ... I want to clean the throttle body
If you don't have any issues ... don't.
Your car is barely broken in.
