Hey Scotty my name is Rj & I have a 2015 mustang Ecoboost 2.3L & my head gasket blew, unfortunately I'm getting it repaired now because I don't have the funds for a new engine at the moment, my question to you is do you think by just replacing the head gasket will my car be fine? Or will I start having major problems after?
Make sure they check the cylinder head and block deck for warpage and cracking. As long as those are OK just replacing the head gasket should work out fine.
Ok thanks bro!
my code just kept reading that my cylinder head #2 was damaged
what code?
If you don't fix the cause, then you'll just end up with another blown head gasket.
PO302 on the scanner I replaced the park for it & the spark plug but I'm thinking the damage was already done, 3 days later I had to get my car towed to a shop & the guy told me I head a blown cylinder head, my cylinder head #2 was misfiring, I'm not sure if that's what caused it or what but I got it replaced & now I'm just waiting for him to finish the head gasket
Unfortunately, it's a design problem with these "ecoBOOM" engines.
It's a small displacement engine strained to its limits by a turbocharger and sport tuning, combined with soot buildup as a result direct injection, which leads to a very unreliable engine.

Personally, I would cut my losses. I don't think it's worth a head gasket job.
Wow thanks bro I just read it I appreciate you alot, since I already paid the guy I'm just going to trade it in once it's finished. Thanks again

That depends. How did it happen?
That's the problem that none could find out what triggered it, my car was sent to 3 different shops & no one could find the cause, my code just kept reading that my cylinder head #2 was damaged, right after I got my spark plugs changed I started noticing alot of cloudy white smoke from my exhaust everytime I started the car
