This is for a 2000 Toyota Avalon xls.
When the headlight is in the off position, when I turn off my car, the lights will turn off like normal. When I go to bed at 11pm, the headlights are off. When i wake up in the morning around 6am, the headlights are on and the car doesn't turn over, but will start with a jump. I have already replaced the multifunction switch and the battery. What are other possible solutions?
Well, the only thing that can turn the headlights on normally is the switch or the burglar alarm system. So I'm assuming somehow it's turning the headlights on and there's a problem with the burglar alarm system. A bad headlight relay needs power from the switch to turn the headlights on. Now if the relay was bad then the headlight wouldn't turn off. When you turn the switch off. It couldn't turn it on after it had been turned off
