I have a 2003 Ford Explorer Sport Trac with a small heater core leak. To have a mechanic replace the heater core will cost almost as much as the truck is worth. I haven't decided if I'm going to just bypass the heater core or try one of those stop leak products. Problem is it's freakin freezing here and would like to keep the heater going for a while longer. Is there a good stop leak product that anyone would recommend for this situation?

None of them are any more than temporary bandaids at best that might plug up other parts of your cooling system instead of stopping the leak. However Bars Leaks is probably about the best of those products.
