I need help my friend!
Hello I have a Hyundai Accent 2009, my mileage is 174,000 and it’s a automatic. I’m having an issue with my cars computer and I needed to know how to do that. The mechanics want to charge me so much money but I can’t afford it.

Is there a specific trouble code that you’re reading? Or do you mean the main computer itself has gone bad?
You can replace the module yourself, but don't try it until you've done a lot of research. Do you know where the module is? Check the wiring and contacts first. (Learn to use a voltmeter.) If the module is bad, compare different makers' replacement modules. They may claim to be "plug and play," but your car may require a few steps to get the computer module and car to talk to each other. Will the seller give you complete installation instructions? Will the car maker? Check on-line for instructions.
Electronics can be tricky. Will your car keep going long enough for you to save enough to pay your mechanic? If not, you might check with your regional technical high school or commercial trade school to ask if their students will fix your car under the teacher's supervision.
