lights dim while idling

I bough a 1995 honda civic - 1.3 16 valves, stick - recently restored. The clock say 90 000 km, but I don`t believe it, 10 of them are put in by myself. Payed 1600 euro for it, and other 1600 for timing belt, water pump, oil changes - consumables. Now, the lights go dim while idling, the alternator is fine, got it checked... what should I expect from it?

Take care, I love your work

Make sure that the drive belt is tightened correctly.

I sure hope it is, was changed by professionals... thank you for the response - the issue was there since I bought it, hence after I changed the belts ( all of them ) is persists... read somewhere that is a really bad sign...
not to be worried, if all goes to hell I`m going to make a swap with a v tech... anyway, I do have another one back home, has the same issue, that one I abandoned for too long, rust got in BAD... so, again, no worries...
might sound as a cliche, but is my dream car, just want to know what to expect since I use it daily to go to work...

Load test the battery and alternator. Odds are the alternator is not working fine.

thank you

Get one of those battery testers that can load test your alternator and battery according to the CCA. They are cheap

took it to service, the guy told me everything is ok, I don`t know much of -mechaniks- , so the guy told me that as long as I feed it gas, it will take me wherever...
take care

How old is the battery & alternator?

oh, I do not know... I told the mechanic about this and he checked it, says is ok...

Is there any way of finding yourself another mechanic? Does you hear any whining noises from the engine, when you rev it? If you want to take a cheap gamble, I’d say try changing your battery first. If that doesn’t fix it, it’s either your wiring or your alternator.
