I have a 2019 Nissan Sentra sr with 87,463 miles on it I was going to change the transmission fluid myself to save some money .. should I change all the fluid or only half of it?
should I change all the fluid or only half of it?
Measure what comes out, and put the same quantity back in. Don’t forget to use the OEM Nissan CVT fluid.
If this is going to be the first CVT fluid change since the vehicle was purchased, you’re quite overdue -

Why would you do half the job?
If you are going to do a change which may be a little late don't flush it
In fluid change its always the same idea to put back in new additives couse old ones ar almost gone or dont work as good. 99% of the time normal fluid drain and put back what came out is a good idea. There is always something inside left, its not possible to 100% remove old fluid, unless you remove transmission, and cut open the converter. Even fluid flush removes around 98-99% old fluid and particles.
