Hey Scotty, I have a 1996 S-10 with the 2.2L engine and 5 speed manual. Recently, I could smell fuel when the vehicle is in idle and when I'm driving down the road. I already cleaned the air filter and the odor diminished.is it running rich? Check engine light came on. Checked for leaks and there were no visible leaks.

If you think your vehicle is running to rich, check the spark plugs, the fuel injectors and mass airflow sensor. Pray that that is the issue.
