I have a 2002 Chevy S-10 crew cab pickup with a 4.3l v6 vortex engine with 204,326 miles on it should I keep it or get rid of it before it cost me to much money down the road?

They were better built in the day but those V6 engines are kind of weak I would do a wet and dry compression test of the engine if I were you and if the engine showed to be an excellent shape I'd keep it if it's worn I'd get rid of it

I would get rid of it. They were pretty reliable, but 200k is a lot of miles and I think I would cash out at that point. You definitely got your money out of it though.
