Scotty, I'm 68retired Firefighter. I did a stupid thing and sold my 2014 Tunda 1 yr ago thinking I did not want 2 vehicles. I now want a 4x4 truck. Looking to spend no more then $14k. What yrs are good to buy for:
Ram
Chevy
Ford
I can't buy a Tundra as they are to expensive. I will only drive it 300 to 500 miles a month.
Thanks,
Paul

See vehicles reviewed by Scotty near the bottom of the main page. Check carcomplaints.com for failure trends of specific models and years.
Unfortunately many of the late-model light trucks from the Big 3 have a pretty poor reputation for reliability. Another alternative might be Nissan trucks which, while not as good as Toyota, are made better than Nissan's cars.
