Hello,
I have a 2010 Silverado 1500 with 150k miles. I have a mystery short circuit or something. I have done a text removing every fuse and checking if the light of my tester will go off and nothing. (Tester connected from the battery negative to the negative cable). The light on the tester will only turn off if I disconnect the whole fuse box. I have had this truck for 8 years and sometimes it doesn’t start in the mornings. I jump start the truck and it will be fine for a while until it happens again. I’m lost. Please help.
thank you,
alex
I changed my strategy. I removed all the fuses (all at once) out of the fuse box and I found 8 that will turn on/off my tester connected to the battery:
45- Airbag Batt
64- LBEC1
46- IPC
35- DLIS
39- HVAC BATT
72- LBEC2
21- FSCM
42- RDO
Any suggestions on what to do next? 🙁
You may have corrosion under the fuse box that results in the parasitic draw.
