Help! What is causing hard shifting?

I have a 2006 Subaru B9 Tribeca. It

has 103k miles and is automatic. We had the transmission rebuilt in hopes it would solve all of our noise and shifting issues. Noise is gone but shifting is still there and WORSE! Shifting from 1-2 &2-3 are hard and seem like it fall out of gear then jolts you into correct gear. Our mechanic thinks it is computer issues but when they hooked up the computer there where no errors. Now my lights inside lights are flickering. Maybe it’s a coincidence but I’m wondering if you have come across anything like this before?

thank you for your time.

It gotta be that the tranny wasn't rebuilt right. My guess scotty will say: " Take it back to your mechanic and let them fix it, it is their fault and they didn't rebuild them right".

You mentioned the lights where flickering; that's often due a weak battery/alternator. check them first, maybe the sensors aren't getting enough power/voltage which makes the tranny not to run right. You can check them for free at any auto part store
