HEY I have a 2013 Honda CR-V I love the car and it has been great. Car has 75k, my question to you is do you think getting the engine valves adjusted at 100k is a necessity? My mother in law and sister in law both had crvs and got well into 200k and all they did is change the oil. I doubt most owners even know to have them adjusted. What would be your professional opinion on this?
It's really not a question of getting them adjusted at 100,000 miles.
It's a question of whether or not you should you get the clearances checked at around 100,000 miles.
Of course you should.
It doesn't cost much and a tight valve could cost you a major repair if ignored.
You have very little to lose by having them checked (the cost of a valve adjustment)
and a lot to lose by not having them checked at around 110,000 miles (the potential cost of a future valve job).
