I have a 2005 Buick Park Avenue with 287,465. I can’t remember, but think the transmission fluid has been changed before. It shifts hard in first gear. Should I change the filter or the transmission pressure control solenoid. Should I add new transmission fluid?
Also, it has been idling rough and says misfire on cylinder 3. I had the spark plugs changed 2 years ago. What could it be? Thank you Sir!

It could be that first gear is worn out. It is the gear that is used the most. As for the fluid, drain a bit out and evaluate it. But @ 300K, intervention is a crap shoot.
