I've got a 2007 Mercedes Benz C230 Coupe (250 000km) and it's got a 7G - Tronic automatic transmission and the engine blew but and The transmission was slipping like crazy.
But I've rebuilt the engine and are they any good cars?

Well with all these problems you are answering the question your self. They are not the best vehicles.
