Hey Scotty , I have a 3.2 v6 jeep Cherokee 2015. So the oil pump fail and the engine started to seize up so I towed it to Russ Darrow jeep dealership.Luckily I had mechanic warranty, so they order 2 used certified engine and they both fail. They 3rd is here but they’re taking their time to work on my vehicle plus they wont accommodate me for a loaner vehicle to commute to work. It’s been in the shop 4months now. Do you think I should start looking for a lawyer? The car only has 92k miles before everything happened. Let know what I should do. Your the best
4 Months! You are being too patient. I would have taken that warranty to a lawyer and had the lawyer send a nasty letter to the dealership - with copies to the regional sales manager for Jeep, Jeep/Stellantis management, local TV stations and your state's attorney general. The only way to get any satisfaction out of a bad dealer is to make a BIG STINK.
I took this approach with a dealer who charged me $1500 for work not performed on a car, and not only got my money back, but helped get his dealership revoked.
As of now warranty is blaming the shop for taking so long and the shop is blaming the warranty for being so cheap. I actually don’t know who to go after with a lawyer.
Go after the warranty people, say you want your car towed to a responsible, competent shop. The warranty people can recover the towing charges from the dealer.
