I just bought a 2003 Impala v6 that only had 68k miles in it for 5k do you think I picked a good beater car?

For a beater why not the 3.8 is a good engine but don't expect daily driver quality even though miles are low you paid a bit more than I would have but now that you have it don't wear it out and take care of it.
