Hey Scotty I was making a decision on buying a 2016 v6 mustang with 50,000 miles on it, the dealer is asking 18k, is that a good price or what would be a good price for a car like that ?

Hey Scotty I was making a decision on buying a 2016 v6 mustang with 50,000 miles on it, the dealer is asking 18k, is that a good price or what would be a good price for a car like that ? What should I do

$15k or less, and ask if they have had any issues with the HVAC system. The A/C condensers on those cars go out about every 30k miles and it is a $3000 job to get repaired.


@mod_man what if the dealer thinks I’m low balling because they usually all ask for 18k and up


Simple: 15k is not low ball offer. You are comfortable buying the car for lets say 14k, and if they don't respect that, YOU have the right to not give them business as YOU are the consumer, so walk away. They have to sell the cars somehow I see cars that have been on lots online for over 400 days because of the ridiculous original price that now go for 30 40% less.
