Shop around private party offerings (Facebook Marketplace, Craigslist, etc.) first before buying from a dealer or even an online dealer, which is basically what Carmax and Carvana are. The only thing you’ll want to do is have a good mechanic check it out before you buy. If the mechanic is good, you should have nothing to worry about. Hell, if you do find one private party, use a couple hundred of the thousands of dollars you could possibly be saving to get it detailed so it looks like the one in the Carmax pic! Haha

One good thing I like to do is go on somewhere like Cars.com, narrow your search down to the truck your looking at here, and search within 250 to 500 or even “all distances” and sort by lowest price. That’ll tell you how good of a deal you’re getting with this truck.

As for the truck itself, it’s a V8 Ford with low miles so I would say it’s a solid truck. Definitely not a Toyota truck, but still better than the newer GM or Nissan full-size trucks!

I don’t know many people who recommend buying cars online.
