HHR throttle body

2009 HHR LS manual transmission. I was thinking that a throttle body might wear over time. The auto parts store has a new throttle body for $200. I bought one and installed it. I was unable to relearn the throttle body. I put the old one back on. I did a continuity check on the new one. Here are the readings: 94,120,84,86,85,108,112,86,85,86,111,86. The old original 12 year old throttle body: 1308,1564,1401,1308,1134,918,1564,1134,991,1402,919,991. I know urban slang is 86 is to mess it up. I am worried about those 86's. I took the part back for return and told them the readings are about 100 and i believe they should be abut 1000. How can I be sure of my assumption that the continuity should have been near 1000 on the new part?

Good that you put the old OEM TB back on, leave it like that. Don't buy electronic components like TBs from auto parts stores, they are bad 8/10 times.
