Dealer suggesting fuel service cleaning @ 100k

Hi. My car drives great. Have the extended warranty until 120k. great buy as they already changed out awd clutch. this already paid for itself. Now at 100k service, engine mounts leaking and will be changed under warranty. rear shocks need to be changed, which will try through warranty. Given how expensive service is on these cars, not sure how long I will keep it before trading it in for lexus or high end toyota.

I live in NY. Car is steady as a rock! Handles all weather conditions amazingly well. All service at dealer. all gas has been 93 octane.

Does it pay to do the fule line cleaning? they want close to $600.

Thanks

I wouldn't if there are no problems.

I think now would be a good time. It will only get worse from here.

$600 for fuel line cleaning sounds like a dealership ripoff. Those cars do turn into endless money pits as they age, so if you are in a position to get rid of it that would be an excellent idea.

Also for future reference please use the title line for a short description of your topic, not the details that belong in the body of your post. Thanks. (Title edited.)

@chucktobias please remember to replace the vehicle info

D'oh, I was in a hurry and it got past me! The car is an Audi, hopefully @kidzshrink will fill the other vehicle details back in.

@chucktobias it's in the URL. I'll edit the post

Good catch, I'll have to remember it will be in the URL if I make the same mistake again.
