My parents drive a 2012 Acura MDX with 50,000 miles. I was just wondering when should the timing chain be replaced it’s runs fine as is.

Timing chanins don't really need to be changed. The only real reason would be if you here the chain rattling.

The Honda 3.5L V6 in those MDXs have timing BELTS. They should be replaced every 60,000 - 100,000 miles. That’s just a general interval, check the owners manual to see what is recommended.
