Hi Scotty, how are you? Thank you very much for sharing your knowledge. I have learned a lot from you.
I am writing to you because I have a 2009 Scion XB that shows code P0031 on my scanner which shows a problem with AF sensor B1S1.
I have checked the fuse and it’s ok. The scanner shows a 3.5 v reading. I just want to make sure that the sensor is what would need to be replaced or would it be the catalytic converter, or would it be something else?
It originally showed code P 0303 as cylinder 3 misfiring. I changed all the spark plugs and then code P0031 came up. The car is shaking very badly when I start the engine.

Test that you're getting voltage applied to the O2 sensor heater, and check resistance of the sensor heater itself for an open circuit.
