Hi Scotty , I have 2.0 kia optima 2006 it cranks but does not start unless spray a contact cleaner in the air filter , then it starts and run smoothly and you can drive it.

The 2006 Optima was not sold with a 2.0 engine in the United States where it was offered with a 2.4L four or a 2.7L V6. Where are you located?
