Hi Scotty, I have a 2013 Audi A4 with 150,000 miles, manual transmission, and the original owner. The only thing that I have replaced on it are all four struts and the control arms. The car is running well but the gas pedal is intermittently tapping and something is making a faint ticking sound and the rpm’s rev up when I just take it out of gear and let go of the clutch. It won’t do it when it idles and only when it moves. The only thing I can think of is that the throttle has some carbon buildup or the connection between the pedal and the electronics but if there is any other possible cause please help.

Well first try cleaning it as in my video make your car run better with little spray cleaner. If that doesn't fix it, you may need a new parts which are super expensive on Audis like a new throttle assembly
