Well anything you can find that's good depends what you want Toyota Corolla Honda Civic or lower priced ones that are good Toyota Camrys and Honda accords are good cars just depends on what you could find in that price range cuz everyone's looking for a car in that price range

Thank you for ur reply. So, If I buy a Toyota corola, which year would be best for me, and somebody said for red colour car we have to pay more insurance bill, is it true?

Unfortunately Scotty doesn't respond to comments. You might want to ask this as a new question to get a good amount of responses.

There are many threads about this check out the Used Car Buying Guide below for more information.

2003-2008 Corolla, 2010-2011 Civic, 2009-2013 Toyota Matrix 1.8, 2009-2013 Honda Fit...

I bougeht an older Lexus ES350 with 72,000 on the clock 2 years ago for around 8000. Probably sells for just over 5000 (to a dealer) today. I've owned a Civic, a Corolla, and now the Lexus, and my experience tells me Toyota over Honda but both are reliable if your mechanic checks them out before you buy them.

I'm curious about what others think.

I agree with you and so do lots of the youtube mechanics , in their words, "Honda slipped more than Toyota" (scotty) and "Toyotas is much more reliable tha Hondas" (Ratchets and Wrecnhes), "I always recommend a Toyota [first]" (Car Wizard)

I'd be hunting for a Civic if it were me.

The general list, in an earlier response (above) is reasonable: Matrix, Corolla, Civic, etc. Some models and years are to avoided, such as the 2007-09 Camrys, if they did not have their pistons and valves rebuilt under the TSB. In the end, choices are always contextual. It's like what they often say on draft days, in various sports: "They took the best athlete available."

Civic is more fun that a Corolla, but the Corolla is more reliable. It depends on how you balance your priorities. How much money is fun worth to you? How much do you value reliability? How important is minimizing future cost?
