Oil leak problem

Hi Scotty. I’m a car head but even more I enjoy saving money. I have a 2016 Chevy Malibu and I was wondering what would be a great upgrade to solve oil leak issue. I was told it could be he oil pan gasket because oil is slowly leaking underneath.

Also wanted to know could I upgrade the motor to a v6 and a regular automatic or would I be stuck with the CVT.

You can use some UV dye to find the source of your oil leak.

With modern cars it is not feasible to do the kind of engine and transmission swapping you are talking about unless you are willing to spend a fortune in money and many hours of custom fabrication. For that kind of thing you should buy something more like a 1965 Chevy and then you can mix and match all kinds of parts to your heart's content.

Also, in the future please use the title line for a short description of your topic, not the details that belong in the body of your post. Thank you.
