Hi Scotty love your videos, I live in the netherlands and I want to buy A Toyota rav4 but with A diesel engine but I heard that the diesel Toyota engines have lots of problems specifically the 2.0, 2.2 D4D and the 2.2 D4D D-CAT all manual so wil it be a reliable diesel car?
Which model year?
I would stay away from the 2.0L BMW Diesel engine. The 2.2L D-4D did have an issue with head gaskets, but no matter which one you’re looking at, I’d have it thoroughly checked out by a professional mechanic in your area, before you buy it.
What are you options other than this RAV4?
Oh well here on the old us of a we're not much on diesel cars and they never sold those Toyota diesels here. You didn't have to ask another document what's good I know some people like the French diesel engines and the Germans been pretty good diesel engines but here in the United States less than 2% of the cars are diesel
