Hi, what is the right engine oil for Toyota carina t34 1978 (2t 1600 engine)

Engines of that vintage typically called for 10W30 or 10W40 oils under most conditions.
To be certain you'd need to check an owner's manual. Closest I could find with a quick search is for Australian market 1978 Corolla. It shows 10W30 or 10W40 oil recommended for the temperature range of -20 to 40 degrees centigrade. (In real temperatures that's -4 to 104 degrees.)
