Hi, i have a 2006 lexus es330 bought used 74k miles. when i start the vehicle it idles high, above 1000 rpm. after it warms up it idles normal. i replaced the spark plugs and cleaned the throttle body, but still idles high. do i need to reprogram the throttle body or will driving it around reprogram it? what is causing high idle?

The high idle is normal and is the case with most of the cars with fuel injection. It is to get your car to optimum operating temperature.
Kind of sounds normal to me. All cars with fuel injection will Idle slightly higher and run richer when they are cold started and then after a few seconds it will idle down. That's how I understood it from your description. If its more than this then, you probably have a problem.
Try my video make your car run better with a little spray cleaner Scotty. Also check for vacuum leaks

thanks for the reply. i cleaned the throttle and the maf sensor, but when im slowing down while the car is moving it jerks as it downshifts.
