Hello everyone hope you all are doing well. So I've had this on my mind all last night but does high mileage matter when it comes to turbo/supercharging a car or truck? Suppose I wanted to turbocharge my Honda Civic and it has over 171K miles on it would its mileage matter?
It does matter. Whenever you modify an engine by either a turbocharger or a supercharger or if you're insane- a turbocharged and supercharged engine you are putting more work on the engine which will wear it out even more. If it ain't broke- why fix it or why change it?
I understand sir. Ye it was a random thought not that I would actually turbocharge it here in 2021 or the next few years. My man Moses says the engine would have to be rebuilt to handle all the power
It sounds like a risky proposition to invest a pile of money for boosted aspiration on a car that old. But hey, if a compression check comes out good, why not?
(Thumbs up)
