Hi Scotty
Not sure what the sound is but each time I shut off my bronco (2024 2.7), as everything winds down I have noticed a whine, like a high pitched metallic noise, as everything comes to a halt with the engine. Initially I thought it was my dog whining from inside the house waiting for me to come in but then realized that it was coming from my car when it happened at work. Also noticed every once in a while I can hear it at idle for a quick second then it resolves. It does not happen if I rev the motor, and not a/c is on when it happens. Not sure if it is just part of the components coming to a halt. It is a quiet sound and I'm not sure that it would be all that noticable by others unless I pointed it out, but I hear it. I have roughly 7800 miles on the car.
Your thoughts ?
Why you have to pinpoint the noise? See my video finding the source of car noises Scotty. It's on YouTube. Now sometimes vehicles have what are called overrun pulleys on the alternator and if you shut the car off vegan wine and sometimes it's some type of vacuum leak bleeding out which you want. But if you get a noise the safer machine or use a mechanic who has one they can pinpoint the noise
@scottykilmer thank you
