hey so I got a big problem with my civic 05! I drove it by accident without much oil in it and I was racing someone at about 160km/h until there was a sudden bang noise and it was so bad it was as if I ran something over. It shook the whole car and then smoke started coming from the hood. I pulled over but had to get my car home so I put a bottle of oil in it started it up and it started to run really rough. I drove it home but had to stop again I have another gas station to grab two more bottles of oil put both of them in and then made it home and when I got out of the car the car looked like a smoker name was going off so I left it overnight and then came back to it no oil in the engine so I went out and got another two bottles put them in and changed all four spark plugs started it up and immediately my oil started pouring out the bottom of my car and it sounds really rough no smoke though I have no idea what's going on my scanner says I have a pending code of p03301 p0 302 p0300 and p0118 I have a 2005 Honda civic reverb any help would be great thanks
It's pretty obvious you need a new engine. That's what happens under such circumstances. Take it as a learning experience.
@chucktobias could it possibly be the timing belt blew? Because when I start it up oil leaks from the front left side of the engine block and it makes kind of a knocking sound but it's more so coming from the bottom of my car where the exhaust pipe is.
If the timing belt snapped it wouldn't run at all. Knocking sound from the bottom end indicates a sever internal problem like a spun bearing. That's the kind of thing that happens with lack of maintenance (very low oil) and driving a 20-year-old economy car like a maniac.
