My wife Honda Accord 2010 EX-L is peeling like a banana. I can't even wash the car. Please what can I do? Paint the car?
Having the car properly sanded and prepped and re-sprayed is the only correct way to fix this problem.
If it's that Honda paint issue then it's not an isolated issue unfortunately and other year/model Honda vehicles have been reported to have this issue. On some forums I've heard people having success going through Honda and getting them to fix it for them for free, but given how old your car is I'm not sure this route would work out, but worth a try before spending on fixing it yourself.
Thank you. But I think like you the car is past all warranties and 10 years. I just don't know what to do. Weighting if it worth a 3K paint job or just replaced in a year time.
I know for sure because I read about it that for one model of civic and one model of accord they extended the warranty on the paint job to 7 years. But even if out of warranty and a car as old as yours sometimes manufacturers will just accept to do it for a good customer care image which is why I said you might want to try Honda before spending on the paint (it's free and worst case they would say no).
