Hi, for as long as I can remember my car makes a crackling ticking noise when I accelerate. Now I’ve put the car in neutral and gave it some gas and the engine runs fine with no noise, it’s only apparent when the car is moving and I’m accelerating. I can’t put my finger on what it could be. Thanks

Well engines often when they're under a load will make a noise but they won't if you just rev it up in neutral so I assume it would be an engine noise to figure out exactly where it's coming from though. Do my video finding the source of car noises? Scotty
I’ll be checking that video out again, just have to get myself the ear tool. But for reference here’s a short video. Don’t mind the bad wheel bearing noise or the check engine light throwing o2 codes.
