Please allow me to ask you a question. I bought a Honda Accord Ex unseen from a dealer in 2023. Assuming it has blind side monitoring since the similar car I drove near my house had this feature, but the color was wrong. It was for this reason that I bought this car 90 miles from home. I found out that 3 days after my son drove the car. It is now my question as to whether this blind side mounting feature can be installed OEM. There are two sensors in the rear bumper on each side, mounted at an angle. Upon looking under the left side of the dashboard, I see two plugs that seem to come from each front door and connect to nothing. I know my side view mirrors do not have blind detection lights, and I will have to buy two outside mirrors to replace them. If you can help me figure out what else I need or even if it is possible to set this up in the car as OEM, that would be greatly appreciated. The Accord Ex came with this feature, but some cars did not have the blind side computer because of a shortage of chips. Youtube has one post, but that person has the same question. Dealer and manufacturer are no help both keep pointing to each other after seven emails.
Boy you'd have to ask a Honda dealer on that. I'm sure they'd gladly saw you the stuff. If they can install it. Of course then you would need new software flashed in the computer. It would be a really complex mess to do
