Hi Scottie and carkiller community. I have a Honda Accord 2020 base model LX 1.5 LT. Not long ago the Communication Gauge Control Module needed to be replaced but my question is why this happens on a car with less than 7000 mi. I live in South California and the weather here is just perfect; not too hot nor too cold. The guys at the dealer replaced according to their invoice: REPLACED BCM. Why this happens on a new car with so few miles? I don't know if I want to buy a Honda in the future:) Thanks Scottie and Community

Well Toyota had their massive fuel pump recall not too long ago. No automaker is perfect, esp. when you have suppliers involved. At least you don’t have valve springs breaking in your engine (like in some of the new Corvette C8s!!!). In any event, hopefully you don’t have any other issues.

You are correct. It should not happen to s brand new car, although it is possible that a part is defective. Good thanks h is that they changed it under warranty.
