Honda Accord K24Z3 Oil Consumption

I own a 2009 Accord EX 4 cyl with a K24Z3 engine. I bought it used with 40k miles and it now has 140k miles. The car runs great but does drink about a quart of oil over 1000-1500 miles (synthetic 5w-20). This car doesn't burn enough to had been considered for the Honda recall for this engine. With 140k miles, do I just live with this, or is there anything like running an additive in the oil that might help reduce the oil consumption?  I know in some cases running a detergent with the oil can cause more issues. Thank You!

If caused by wear, poor quality parts, or bad design there's really not much that can be done about it. Most manufacturers consider that amount of oil consumption to be "normal" for warranty or recall purposes. (It's not.) You could try replacing the PCV valve to see if that helps.

Thank you for the response. I was considering changing the PCV valve, that seemed to be the culprit on the 9th gen accords for oil burning, but I didn't find much online about it fixing much for the 8th gen. I'll give it a try.
