How do I know if my head gasket is okay in my Civic?

Hi Scotty,
Hope you are well

I have a quick question for you

I have a Honda Civic 8th Generation

The heat gauge showed a slight raise in the temperature from the normal range

I got my radiator changed to a brand new one along with new coolant

every since then I have driven 150 kms and car has no signs of heating up

I wanted to be sure that my head gasket is ok since I need to go on a long road trip

there is no smoke from the tail pipe

My question is

If the head gasket had failed would I still be able to drive 150 km + without any heat up issue?

Driving 150 kms without issue does this mean that the head gasket is ok?

Change the thermostat and make sure you don't have air bubbles in the system.

Try the head gasket kit for peace of mind.

I would swap out the thermostat but if it's not overheating after you replaced the radiator you should be good
