I dont know if it's to good to be true but I found a 1994 mercury grand marquis in michigan with only 37,079 original miles on it for 9,950 should I jump at it
If even the mileage is legitimate, you are talking about a 26 year old car. It is not a collector item either. What do you want to do with it?
As @yaser said, what are your plans for it?
You won't be able to daily drive it without replacing a ton of parts that have gone bad from sheer age. I guess if you need a knock around car, maybe but I wouldn't pay near $10k for a car that old regardless of mileage. It's not collectible and it's nothing special. Sounds like someone is just looking to make some money by selling it.
I'd pass.
The "Pro's" on this site will always tell you not to buy an older car. "Buy a Toyota" is thier meme. That sounds like a great car to me. With normal maintenance, you can easily get another 100k miles out of it and be comfortable while you're getting them. Sure you will have to replace or repair some things as go along but check all the newer cars on this site that are having problems too.
Offer less, but buy it. It's big
and roomy
smoothe driving
beats the hell out of any tiny Jap car out there.
I would not, for one minute, believe this is the actual mileage. Doesn't this vehicle have the old 5 digit odometer that turns over at 100K miles?
