take it to a mechanic and he'll remove your oil pan.

Yep thinking the same thing .. its time for a oil change anyways

You could try getting a small diameter dowel and putting a wad of some kind of sticky putty on the end and pushing it down the tube to capture the dipstick and pull it out.  Just a thought.  Worth a try since dropping the pan is a suck job.

superglue on a pencil? could work.
I've read the pan is fairly easy on this civic.

Great idea!

plastic dipsticks? wonderful.

Depending on how your car is made, and if you have access.

Try to remove the entire dipstick tube. Some cars have an external tube that comes off easily with a bolt or two. If you can get the dipstick tube removed, you may be able to the dipstick out too.

Mind you, I don’t know if your specific engine is built this way. Good luck!

Ali,

I found this. What do you think?

You can't use a magnet because it won't stick to a plastic dipstick fragment but you could still get it out--that's what this article says.

I hope people who have experience with the problem comment.

Good luck with this! I am sure you can solve the problem.

Its for broken bolts not dip sticks

@speederrex, thanks. Missed that.
