Hello there. I just purchased a 2012 Honda civic si. When i put in the clutch to change to a different gear the rpm stay up for a little bit a little less then a second but ive driven manual trans cars my hole life and i had not seen that before. Other wise the car runs pretty solid. Is that normal or should there be something to check out?
If its an automatic transmission car, how do you push the non existing clutch and change the gears ?
If you mean, that when pressing the break pedal and changing the gear from Neutral to lets say "D" or "R" and it stays or even jumps a bit in the rpm, I think that's pretty normal for an automatic transmission when it engages a gear.
