Which coolant should I buy

I know most Honda fluids can’t be replaced by aftermarket, is the blue type 2 coolant replaceable with a high quality brand?

2006 honda crv

My issue is that I have to drive an hour to buy the oem and then it’s only sold premixed in 5ltr bottles and my vehicle needs 5.5ltr. $55 per bottle.

or I can buy a top brand blue coolant in 5litre or one ltr bottles around the corner!

:/
thanks

year make model?

I’ve used this stuff in my Honda Accord 1999.

Make sure it fits your specific Honda. It should say what is compatible in your owners manual.

As @kaizen mentioned, zerex is great coolant, and on amazon right now for like $18 a gallon.

The aftermarket brand cost the same only I don’t have to drive an hour.

I just looked at the difference in the toyota red zerex, and the blue for honda. On the back, both are a P-HOAT formula, and it looks like each are compatible with the same vehicles. Looks like they contain the same exact stuff.

I think Scotty has even mentioned that a lot are the same, except different colors.

Blue is pretty though, and differentiates it from transmission fluid nicely.
