Hi Scotty,
I am comparing two cars to purchase. One is a 2012 Honda Crosstour V6 AWD with 80k miles and the other is a 2011 Lexus RX 350 AWD with 100k miles. I like both and am hopeful to have a reliable awd vehicle to take skiing and camping.

Between those two, go with the Lexus RX350 for longevity. Realize the 3.5L V6 engine (J35Z2) in that Honda Crosstour has cylinder deactivation which overtime can potentially wear out/damage the engine. Even if you disable it via software, the hardware is still there and a liability. Also, Honda is not known for their AWD systems, Toyota’s (Lexus) AWD is better and less prone to issues.

RX would have less issues and be more luxurious
