Hi Scotty,
my 08 Honda Accord has the problem where it constantly eats oil. It is barely over 125,000 miles so Honda won’t do anything about it. I bought it from a guy I work with and took it on a 700 mile trip, after the trip my oil was bone dry. Have you worked on one of these personally and what would you do?!
Thanks!

Yeahhh I'm sorry to say but the 2008 Accords had problems with oil consumption, especially if the oil wasn't consistently changed from the start. This is why it's always a good idea to get a car thoroughly inspected by a mechanic before you buy it, regardless of who the seller is or what car it is. You're just going to have to add oil as it burns. Check out this Honda forum for tips on how to deal with it: https://honda-tech.com/forums/honda-accord-crosstour-2003-2012-118/08-accord-burning-oil-2975811/
You can take your shots to try selling the car and seeing how much people are willing to offer you. But to truly fix the oil burning, the engine is going to need an overhaul - that's the ugly yet simple truth 🙁
our '08 burns 1/2 quart every 3000 miles, but it only has 60,000 miles
shame on honda
