Good day to you Scotty,
My father just purchased a Honda CRV from 2018 1.5 L turbo with automatic transmission, built in Greensburg, Indiana U.S.
The car has 33000 miles on board, it has been recalled twice by the manufacturer (electrical steering and fuel delivery/fuel pump). The car has been hit in the rear end and the insurance company has labelled it with a salvage title.
I took it for a ride and car works fine, but I am worried.
What do you think of Honda CRV and my fathers car? Are they reliable or endless money pits ? Should he return it to the seller?
Thank you Scotty.
Firstly, it wasn’t the wisest idea to buy a salvage title -

Secondly, I hope he didn’t pay a lot, because the vehicle doesn’t have any resale value due to being a salvage title.
An unwrecked CR-V is a decent vehicle, but all bets are off once an insurance company writes it off for wreck damage.
If he can find another CR-V with a clean title, it would be a good idea to return the current one.
