New heater hose connector leaking, How to get it sealed?

Scotty, I have a 1995 Chevy Lumina LS 3100.  I put a new Dorman heater hose connector and inlet tube on in May 2020. It appears to be leaking where the pipe sticks into the connector clip. I worried it would leak when I put it on.  I thought the tube connector wasn't tight enough. It's located  under the throttle body and has a bolt holding the pipe in place.

I would carry it to a shop but the last time it cost me over $1000 and when I got home I had to repair all the damage they made. They broke off all the wire clips and connector clips. Before I could even bring it back I had to get them to fill the radiator and some parts were left off.

I'll be rocking the engine forward and taking a  closer look while waiting for your reply.  I`m getting too old for this.

Thanks for all your help! 🙂 😎

a photo would be fantastic

Do you think I can screw a piece of test pipe in place of the connector? then connect the two pipes with a hose and screw clamps? I would use a piece of hose all the way to the firewall but there is a manifold I have to steer clear of.
Thanks for such a fast reponse.  5 Stars

Well dorman's an aftermarket company they do make pretty good parts if there's any type of clamps you can install put new clamps on but if it's one of those clipping systems I would buy another connector and make sure that the gasket on the clipping system was good so that it snapped on tight or do like I do I bypass all those stupid snap-on systems and just cut the hoses to where this rubber hose and then insert metal or plastic internal male connectors and then put clamps on the outside of them
