Hey Scotty,
I see a 2011 Honda 4wd CRV for sale. But I'm not sure if I want to buy it because I don't need the 4wd and don't want poor gas mileage. If I bought it, could I never use the 4wd and save gas? Or will the 4wd mechanism itself whether engaged or not cause poor gas mileage?

Well for my experience those Hondas are not four-wheel drive. They are all wheel drive. You can never shut the all-wheel drive off and in that case you will get worse gas mileage
