Hii Scotty, i have a honda civic 2009 model automatic transmission in Dubai. Its milage is 560000+ km now. Original engine and transmission. Recently my car failed emission test. So a garage owner helped me pass it through his connection. But later i took the car to a garage for checkup, and when the mechanic opened the engine oil cap, he saw lots of gunk sticked in the cap black colour. He said its carbon inside. I do change oil regularly (5w40-lexus genuine oil) but why did this happen to my car? What should i do to refresh the engine?

Have them running engine flash and then change the oil and filter. That should get a lot of the gunk out
