Honda CRV fluids

I have recently purchased a 2004 Honda CRV LX AWD auto trans from a dealer. 139000 miles I have had it a month and a half and am very happy with it. Very few problems so I'm doing service work on things that I don't know when it was last done. I want to drain the trans and change the fluid, do I use any trans fluid or stick to Honda. Also, I'm wondering about the rear differential and its fluid since it's AWD should I drain and replace it? What fluid do I use for that? I'm focusing on fluids, filters, and general maintenance. It's in very good condition and runs great. The carfax is lacking service information so I'm trying to make sure it's tip top. Not much information about my year of Honda here on the site unless I'm looking in the wrong places. I do need to replace the rear brake pads, not sure If I should tackle that one. Sorry for the multiple questions. Thank you

Thanks for the Honda manual link. Answered my trans fluid question but no information on the rear differential type of fluid. I found the capacity but no other info. I guess I'll just wing it on the rest. Thanks

you could always drain off a small sample of the fluid to see how contaminated it is.

Did you check the owner's manual for fluid types?
